Our faith is grounded in the Word of God. These are the foundational truths that guide everything we do at Faith Covenant Family Church.
At Faith Covenant Family Church, our beliefs are not traditions of men — they are truths revealed in the Bible. We hold to the full inspiration and authority of Scripture, and we teach and preach from it faithfully every week.
We are a Spirit-filled congregation. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit operating in the church today, and we welcome His presence and power in every service.
Below is a summary of our core beliefs. For questions or deeper conversation, we encourage you to reach out to us or speak with Pastor Joe Ammons directly.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”— 2 Timothy 3:16
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final standard for all matters of faith, doctrine, and practice. Both the Old and New Testaments are fully trustworthy as given by the Holy Spirit.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — each fully God, yet one in essence, nature, and purpose. The Father is sovereign over all. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son. The Holy Spirit is the active, present power of God in the world today.
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became man, born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return visibly and personally to the earth.
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone — not by works or human merit. Every person who repents of their sin and puts their trust in Jesus Christ is born again, forgiven, justified before God, and given eternal life. This is the central message of the Gospel.
We believe in the present-day work and ministry of the Holy Spirit. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who believe, baptizes believers in the Spirit, and distributes spiritual gifts to the church as He wills. We welcome His presence, His power, and His gifts in our services and in the lives of our members.
We believe prayer is the heartbeat of the Christian life. God hears and answers prayer. We are called to pray for healing, for wisdom, for one another, and for the world. Prayer changes things — and we take that seriously at FCFC.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ — composed of all who have been born again through faith. The local church is God’s primary instrument for making disciples, serving the community, and advancing His Kingdom. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances given by Christ to the church.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people — those who have trusted Christ to eternal life and glory with God, and those who have rejected Him to eternal separation. Heaven is real. Hell is real. Eternity matters. This is why we preach the Gospel with urgency and love.
